They don't get soggy even when I deliberately poured water in them. The sides are built up to keep food from falling off the plate. These are everything you'd need in a disposable plate, and they're biodegradable, too! These are ideal for barbeques or outdoor entertaining, or even for everyday use in the kitchen.

Compostable Paper Plates

I ordered these because I like using paper plates and wanted to see if the compostable ones were strong enough for regular use. They're sturdier than regular paper plates due to the increased thickness of these. I've put heavy food on them like ribs and sides and they haven't bent under the weight. They feel more like pressed cardboard than paper and hold up through a full meal without getting soft. The brown color is a little utilitarian looking but that doesn't really matter for what they are. I guess I wouldn't use them for a party or something fun like that. They stack neatly and take up about the same space as regular paper plates.
